My cat curled up on my dolls today. That was a picture worth saving, I must admit.
Silly cat.
I never reported on books I was reading yesterday. I'm in the middle of LIKE WATER FOR ELEPHANTS, which, by the way, was a NaNoWriMo winner several years ago. It gives a body hope, I'll tell you.
Today is the Life in These United States roundup, and I'm not sure where to start. I can tell you, I've been busy enough the last couple days that I haven't really had time to write. I needed a break anyway, and I can get back at it after the holiday and my kids go back to school.
D has driver education today. This one's driving practice and observation, after several days of classes. I'm a little tired of being at the mall for hours at a time, but I knew it would come to this eventually. She's very excited, and feeling very grown up about the whole thing. She's also starting tenth grade in a week. Good grief, how did that happen?
D is also going to a birthday party this weekend. She'll be giving a Wee Free Man as the present. Don't know what a Wee Free Man is? Read HAT FULL OF SKY by Terry Pratchett. Or so I'm told.
The whole family is going to Hunter Safety Education class this weekend. 9 to 5 both Saturday and Sunday. This, because we felt P's interest in guns needed to be tempered by some reality. Ah, to be eleven again.
Parties every day this weekend. Whoopie! Hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend--
